Hey, I’m Nadir (Nah-🦌)!

I’m an early-career content designer fueled by genuine connections, crafting compelling stories, and making digital experiences less confusing for people.

As a recent Master’s of Communication graduate from the University of Washington, I’m currently looking for New Grad/Entry-Level Content Design or Strategy related roles.

Who is Nadir Roberts?

Q: Can you start by telling us a little about yourself?

A: Yeah sure, so my name is Nadir Roberts, I’m a 25-year-old recent graduate and content designer living in Seattle, WA. I love music, art, fashion, and film photography!

Q: Where did your passion for photography come from?

A: My interest and passion for photography came when my brother gifted me a camera for my birthday during my sophomore year of undergrad. From this moment, I started to see the world and everything in it in a new way. I started exploring different avenues of photography such as concerts + events, to portraiture. Ultimately I find my favorite form of photography being street and landscape film photography.

Q: You said undergrad, are you currently in school? If so where and what do you study?

A: I recently graduated with my master’s from the University of Washington studying Communications in Digital Media. I received my bachelor’s degree in Journalism at Rowan University in New Jersey.

Q: So how did you go from journalism to tech?

A: That’s a really long story actually. I would say that it wasn’t on purpose. I didn’t get a job in journalism after I graduated and I started working in the non-profit space. I used some skills I had learned over the years, photography, graphic design, marketing, etc., and did that for a little bit and really wanted a switch. The move to Seattle really is where it started, I learned about User Experience and started looking into that much more. I took some classes, learned the basics, and just really seemed to like the space. I’ve learned how to advocate and help people in a different way from non-profits, I hope to combine the two in the future.

Nadir R.
