Project Background

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County was celebrating its 85th anniversary and wanted an engaging and exciting way to connect with the community it serves and build anticipation for their BBQ event celebrating the milestone.

Creative Process

I was given full creative freedom when doing this project. My first task was to compile a list of questions that were tailored to each honoree and their involvement with BGC Mercer. I gathered the questions, researched the honorees, contacted them, and set up interviews. I created a list of shots and b-roll that I wanted depending on the setting.

Once the interviews were conducted, I spent roughly two weeks editing the videos, assembling them, and sending drafts to the honorees and my team to ensure everyone was on the same page about our results.

Final Results

I created 10 videos in total for 85th Anniversary content, 5 short (30-second) version for Instagram and Facebook, and 5 full-length videos for YouTube. The short videos were released on a weekly basis leading up to the sold-out BBQ Anniversary event.
